Dahaad, Sonakshi Sinha's first web series, is about to premiere. The cast and crew, including Sonakshi Sinha, Gulshan Devaiah, Vijay Varma, Sohum Shah, Reema Kagti, and Zoya Akhtar, attended a trailer premiere event today in Mumbai.When asked about her preparation for the role and whether she had to learn anything, Sonakshi responded, "I think I was born to play this character," at the trailer event. I had been waiting for a character like this to present itself, and I approached it without fanfare or anything of the type. When the uniform is put on, say "aapki chaal badal jaati hai" really and openly. You simply begin to walk straight and firmly; I am a hard-chick (laughs). I am powerless to describe that uniform's influence."This is the first time I've played a cop; I've also learned to ride a bike, which I enjoyed so much that I bought one for myself after the show. My mother is quite concerned because I only ride the bike at night and go by myself. The dialect in the show was really different, so that was an experience for me, and I made preparations for that. I was born to do this, she stated, and it was a beautiful experience.The co-director of Dahaad, Reema Kagti, continued, "She actually drove the bike better than her stunt double." "One day I was sitting there thinking aaj toh meri chutti hai and they were like you come and I was like why," joked Sonakshi. "So they said she is riding slower than you, so please ride (laughs)."
